The first theoretical masterpiece of Alberto Grifi, co-directed with Franco Baruchello. The two artists get theri hands on almost endless amounts of classic Hollywood film material, in most cases the work of honest artisans. This becomes an oppurtunity fort he Italian pair to perform in the barbaric and euphoric destruction of the same film industry, slaughtered by the act of editing. The flow of images, a tinge of Dada, will anticipate the (tele)visionary approach of the past 20 years. – Raffaele Meale
